Graphic novels

A ’tween graphic novel book club will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10 at the East Boston Branch Library, 365 Bremen St.

Kids ages 8 to 12 can read the graphic novel “Sunny Side Up” and join in a discussion and fun activities.

Admission is free. Copies of the book are available at the library.

Mother’s Day yoga

Free yoga for Mother’s Day will be held from 10 to a.m. on Sunday, May 14 at Piers Park, 95 Marginal St.

The Point East Boston Barre & Yoga will celebrate Mother’s Day with a Vinyasa Flow led by Stephanie Kirkos. Students will focus on linking conscious breath with a mindful flow. Attendees should arrive early and bring a yoga mat and water bottle.

New art exhibition

Atlantic Works Gallery, 80 Border St., will display a new exhibition “Replacements” now to May 27.

A Third Thursday celebration will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 18.

This group art show features art, life and beauty in a time of overwhelming unbalance.

Fun at the library

A series of fun, free children’s activities will be held during May at the East Boston Branch Library, 365 Bremen St.

Featured will be sing along at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays, family story time at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesdays, baby lapsit story and games at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays and Countdown to Kindergarten playgroup at noon on Thursdays and 9:30 a.m. on Fridays.

Homework help

Free homework help will be available from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays at the East Boston Branch Library, 365 Bremen St.

Students in grades K to 8 are invited to drop in for homework help, academic support and mentoring. The Boston Public Library Foundation funds this Out-of-School Time program.
