Music scholarship concert
Berklee College of Music will host the annual City Music Scholarship concert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 8 at the Berklee Performance Center, 136 Massachusetts Ave.
The concert will feature Berklee City Music students from throughout the U.S. performing in jazz, pop-rock, choral, big band and R&B ensembles and celebrates students receiving scholarships to attend Berklee this coming academic year.
Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 on the day.

The Rosenfeld Concert in the Courtyard will welcome Band Magda in concert from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 9 at the Museum of Fine Arts, 230 The Fenway.
Led by singer and accordionist Magda Giannikou, the band moves from samba to French chanson, from Greek folk tunes to Colombian cumbia and Afro Peruvian lando.
The courtyard opens for dining at 6 p.m. Courtyard seating is limited; low lawn chairs and blankets are recommended.
Tickets are $24 for members, seniors and students and $30 general admission.

Lunchtime music concert
Berklee College of Music and Harvard University will present a free summer concert with the Niu Raza at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 9 at the Harvard School of Public Health’s Longwood campus, Longwood Avenue.
Raza blends huge jazzy vocals with soul, African groove, Caribbean beats and pop.

The Museum of Fine Arts will present walking tours of the Fenway area at 11 a.m. on Saturdays, Aug. 5 and 12 and Wednesdays, Aug. 9 and 16. Walkers will leave from the Sharf Visitor Center, 465 Huntington Ave.
Visitors will learn about the architecture of the MFA and nearby buildings, outdoor works of art, the Japanese Garden and the Back Bay Fens. The hour-long tour is free with museum admission.

The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, 280 The Fenway, will sponsor a free neighborhood block party from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 10.
Families are invited to the last neighborhood night of the summer. The programming will flow between the museum and into Evan’s Way Park for a special evening of art and performance featuring artist in residence Laura Anderson Barbata in collaboration with the Brooklyn Jumbies stilt dancers. There will be art making, gallery activities and musical performances, featuring special guest artists Elisa Hamilton, Afro-Latin youth orchestra MIC of Hyde Square Task Force, Grooversity, interactive percussion with Kadence Arts, Tempo International Rhythm Section, electric violinist Josh Knowles, YouthBuild Boston's Designery and more.

French composer and jazz pianist Gael Le Billan will be the guest performer at the Museum of Fine Arts, 230 The Fenway from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 10.
Le Billan has worked with jazz, funk, blues, reggae, pop and rock artists all over the world, from the United States to Russia to Japan. He has composed and arranged for children’s puppet theater, short movies and many discographic productions.
