Both units 611 and 702 have sensational views of Boston Harbor and the city skyline and come with a plethora of services at the complex. The bonus is that each unit is filled with wonderful amenities - large and small, and they both offer single-level living.

Now and then having to decide between two options is a win-win! That’s the exact situation with two fine homes at Flagship Wharf, 197 Eighth St., in the historic Charlestown Navy Yard right on the waterfront.

Both units 611 and 702 have sensational views of Boston Harbor and the city skyline and come with a plethora of services at the complex. The bonus is that each unit is filled with wonderful amenities - large and small, and they both offer single-level living.

Karen Colombosian of Douglas Elliman Real Estate has listed these spacious and bright waterfront homes. Unit 611, with 1,759-square-feet of living space with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, is listed for $1,499,000. Unit 702, which also has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, has 1,430-square-feet of living space and is listed for $1,529,000.

Unit 611

In addition to the fabulous views, “convenience” is the essence of Unit 611. An oversized double closet, for example, is just inside the front entry and two more closets are along the corridor to a sizable family room. Multi-glass pane French doors set an elegant tone in this room that has a wood-burning fireplace with a very pretty mantel flanked by open and closed-lighted bookcases.

But it’s the amazing views of the harbor and the skyline via a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows that include a set of sliders (these have huge transoms, too) that command immediate attention in the fully open and expansive living-dining-kitchen space.

A built-in bookcase (with open and closed shelving) that is at least six-feet long and triple-crown molding that surrounds a tray-like ceiling add pizzazz.

The U-shaped kitchen indubitably has its own bragging rights.

Attractive mahogany cabinetry that stretches to the ceiling wraps around swaths of quartz countertop that ring the room. Under-cabinet lights highlight the sleek tile backsplash while stainless steel appliances that include a Bosch dishwasher, Jenn Air stove (with a downdraft) and an LG microwave plus a French door refrigerator add more sparkle. Even the rectangular under-mount sink is stainless steel.

Additional mahogany cabinetry “wraps” around from the kitchen to become a focal point in the large “formal” dining area. One is essentially a classic glass-front china cabinet.

French doors with etched glass inserts lead to a master suite that has everything. One section with three walls of custom built-in wardrobes certainly works as a dressing room. However, this can easily be transformed into an office – an exceptionally attractive one at that – because another walk-in closet with custom inserts and two single closets with open shelving are in the huge sleeping area.

A large steam shower tiled in marble is at home in the spa-like en suite bathroom with a marble tile floor with matching bump board. Two separate vanities give users ample personal space in a deluxe atmosphere.

This home has beautiful oak flooring throughout along with in-unit laundry facilities that includes Maytag full-size stackables.

Unit 702

With 14 windows and two exposures (south and east) via floor-to-ceiling windows, Unit 702 is literally wrapped 24-7 in endless views of the harbor and skyline. These vibrant scenes that stretch to South Boston and the Harbor Islands and include the Custom House and Old North Church are on display the moment the front door opens.

By the way, at sunset you can hear cannon sound from the USS Constitution.

When privacy is desired, this beautifully renovated sun-bathed home has electronic Hunter Douglas blinds and room darkening shades.

Pocket doors with full glass pane inserts from the entry hall (with classic paneled wainscoting) open to a magnificent view from the kitchen window. The doors also allow light to flow into the entire unit.

Size as in big is only one aspect of the full-service custom kitchen. The wrap-around, step-down, granite-topped counter, for example, seats four or five people comfortably and works well as a server for the adjacent “formal” dining area. On the kitchen side, this provides ample prep space. Carefully placed columns insure that the chef and helpers have unobstructed views, too.

The kitchen also has a number of chef-worthy features and amenities such as a Sub-Zero refrigerator, Bosch dishwasher and stove (this is accented with an attractive mosaic tile backsplash) plus a substantial amount of cabinetry (including a built-in pantry). A second step-down section doubles as a built-in desk.

The living-dining room on the other side of the kitchen runs the entire width of the unit.

Incredible views can be appreciated from within or outside as glass sliders open to a private covered balcony (built for two).

Due to its positioning as a mini-bump out, the second bedroom has wonderful views as well. A large closet is another bonus in this spacious room that is carpeted.

A Bosch full-size washer and dryer have dedicated space (with storage) in the nearby full bathroom. This loo has a tub/shower ensemble with a tile surround, a wall mounted sink and prettily decorated tile flooring.

The master suite, which has a definite “corner” location, has views to spare via the wall of floor-to-ceiling windows. Don’t be deceived by the “single” door to the lighted walk-in closet/dressing room. This custom space is massive, running almost the width of the room. It also has open shelving, built-in drawers and dedicated hanging spaces. The “closet” has hardwood flooring.

Luxuriously large, the en suite bathroom has a tiled step-in shower with multiple body sprays and a built-in bench in a frameless glass enclosure. Two sinks in a long vanity allow for substantial personal space.

Located in the highly desirable West Wing of Flagship Wharf, this corner home has the advantage of a separate lobby with concierge service between 5 and 11 p.m.

Flagship Wharf is a luxury full-service building, surrounded by beautiful parks and a picturesque marina, offering 24-hour concierge service, a state-of-the-art fitness center with steam and sauna, plus a resident lounge and lending library. This elevator building has a garage with valet parking and is pet friendly, too.

Flagship Wharf has a “few” more amenities, as well. The residences are minutes to Logan Airport and the Financial District via the MBTA water shuttles located directly outside the door and in close proximity to downtown Boston, Mass General Hospital and Spaulding Rehabilitation Center, several colleges and universities, in addition to countless restaurants and cafes. The Freedom Trail and the historic North End are also nearby.

The Charlestown Navy Yard is both a location of historical significance as well as one of the more tranquil settings in the city. The growing and popular Boston Harborwalk stretches the length of the neighborhood and is ideal for fantastic walks and long jogs. There are several boutique shops and restaurants located within the neighborhood.

An open house for both units will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 6.
